About the Proactive Alert Plan
Epic's Proactive Alert plan lets you sleep well at night knowing that your systems
are being monitored to detect problems as or before they can occur. We can monitor
the systems in your main office, branch office, or systems with your traveling staff
members. Without a solution like Proactive Alert, problems such as missing software
patches, hardware alarms, or attempted security breaches often remain undetected
until it is too late.
Proactive Alert can monitor over 2,500 different performance statistics every 2
minutes. The information is "trickled" from your network to our Network Operations
Center using secure, encrypted HTTPS protocols so your information is secure and
protected at all times. The data grows and accumulates over an extended period of
time allowing us to look at long term trends related to space or performance issues.
Using our proprietary software, we can provide you with easy-to-read reports
and graphs showing an inventory of your network and the overall health of your systems.
These reports are invaluable when planning for future growth or projecting when
you will have capacity problems. If you would like, we can even provide you with
a "portal" into our Network Operations Center so you can access this information
at any time.
If and when problems are detected, the Proactive Assurance sensor alerts Epic's
network operations center and/or your own technical support staff. "Problems" are
defined as deviations in your data from industry standard best practices or upon
specific thresholds unique to your environment. Based upon our pre-agreed support
plan with you, Epic can respond to the situation or leave it for your own staff.
